Mathletes of America Corporation mission is to, innovate and influence math education.
Vision
Founded by of Sterline Caldwell: Graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, and a Master of Science in Information Technology. He is a member of Pi Mu Epsilon Mathematics National Honor Society, Epsilon Pi Tau National Technology Honor Society, and Golden Key International Hounor Society. Mathletes of America Corporation was founded in 2016 as a Tax Deductible 501 c3 Non-Profit organization. During a NSA sponsored math summer research internship at the University of Maryland College Park, Sterline envisioned creating an organization that would make learning math easier to understand through non-traditional methodologies. Born in Charlotte, North Carolina he grew up with a passion for math. He was a student athlete who has a passion for track, football, and basketball. Through his experiences in inner city public schools, he noticed a disconnect between faculty and students. Faculty had a hard time connecting with their students personal obstacles and were often times afraid of their students. During his time tutoring In-School-Suspension students he recognized his ability to reach and teach students in the community. Conversations that he had with students about the personal challenges of growing interfacing with violence, malnutrition, and poverty propelled him to serve life by creating refreshing learning environments to disenfranchised students everywhere.
